I'd like to know what treatment Rob received. I'm on Prednisone, 10mg (started at 60mg in March 2005), and definitely not cured. Both feet and one hand have been numb since this started. My sed rate does not seem to stabilize. My doctor keeps suggesting other drugs, most of which are chemo drugs and can be toxic. Several doctors told me I would be better off on Methotrexate - a chemo drug that causes hair loss and can affect the liver, than on prednisone which affects the bones. I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. Has anyone had a treatment that really worked on the numbness? Has anyone used a doctor in NYC that really helped?

In the article, it was stated that "Though the disease is now curable, it can still be fatal if left ignored." It is correct that Churg-Strauss can be fatal if untreated, but as a sufferer of the disease and having done my own research, it is NOT curable. Like most other autoimmune disorders, CSS is controllable, usually requiring a life long regiment of medications.
